My aim is to share yoga through a sense of playful curiosity, to learn to let go of judgement of ourselves and others and embrace a sense of gratitude. These feelings inform and guide my core teachings and practices at Flow With It Yoga, focusing on helping clients better connect to themselves, their surroundings and empower them to explore their practice further with confidence, ultimately integrating yoga as a practice, not just on the mat but outside of class too.
Anita Gordon is a Registered Yoga Teacher with the Yoga Alliance and trained in Vipassana meditation.
I have always been a lover of movement, embracing almost every style of dance when I was younger, playing netball and dabbling in capoeira. In around 2008 I stumbled into my first yoga class and I loved it, the movement, the shavasana, the meditation practice all together in one and it soon became a regular practice.
On a visit to Myanmar in 2013, I completed a Vipassana meditation course, a beautifully intense and hugely impactful experience and I highly recommend it, they have centres all over the world. After sometime travelling, I ended up staying for five years in São Paulo, Brazil from 2013 where I completed my Yoga Teacher Training with a truly wonderful teacher, Mariana Muller.
"Anita’s yoga classes are wonderful! Not only is Anita a great yoga teacher, she has a calming energy and a beautiful, warm smile that makes each class feel so welcoming. Even online she’s able to spot where I’m holding tension or am not quite in alignment, and my practice is really improving. I really appreciate that she only encourages me to do what feels right and listen to my body."
